Portland, OR over the past couple months

I moved to the Portland area from Phoenix a couple months ago. I can’t say enough about this city - I love everything about it so far. Here are some photos. These pics were taken since late July-ish – the ones of Northwest and the Saturday Market are from this past weekend. Most of these areas are ones that have been shown in photo threads here before, but I hope to get to some of the less-often photographed areas soon, too.

I’ll start with downtown…

South Waterfront – a new district being built south of downtown…

Aerial Tram

The Pearl District…

Northwest/Nob Hill…

Portland Saturday Market – held every weekend except in the winter (Saturday and Sunday, despite the name) under the Burnside Bridge…

That’s it for now…

Cool pics of the city and welcome to Portland. I especially like the first shot of the South Waterfront, its beginning to look like a whole other city with all the shiny condos going up.

Glad you are enjoying yourself so far. Great set of pics!

From one Portlander turned Phoenician and than back to a Portlander, this place just keeps getting better and better.

I can never get enough Portland pics, makes me really want to move there instead of Denver but both are great places! I like the eclectic shops and restaurants, and especially the cool, wet climate that keeps it so green.

Excellent set! Welcome to FiveOhThree.

I did a Westside-by-bike thread a few weeks ago, and then I promised an Eastside follow-up...but then it rained. For a couple weeks. (And on beautiful days like this, I'm either at school or just lazy.) Here's to hoping you're better at following through than I am!

^ We'll see when I get to it. I have some of Sellwood that I have taken on lunch breaks (I work in Lake Oswego), but they're not that great. I'll post some more sometime, though.

Thanks for the comments and the welcome, guys.

awesome pics! you did what i wanted to do (move from PHX to portland), but as it turns out, i ended up in fort lauderdale instead.

i've always said portland is the one city i would move to without having paid a visit there beforehand - your pics just reaffirm my position!

thanks!
