Above New York City (Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey, Staten Island series)

OK, this thread is mostly of Brooklyn, but there are some Queens and a few of Staten Island and Jersey as well. See my Manhattan thread for shots of "the city". The Yankees had a game, so the Bronx and even northern Manhattan (Harlem) had a TFR and was off limits (stupid FAA). There is nothing they can do to stop somebody from flying into a building, but they make people like me suffer and what can you do with a helicopter anyway besides bounce off and kill a few people. Hardly seems worth it. (ok, off my soap box). Enjoy!

Downtown Brooklyn

Random shots of Brooklyn and Queens

Big boxes in Queens!!!

The new Shea (Citi Field) going up and droves heading to Flushing Meadows Park

I'm not sure why Flushing Meadows Park was so busy, maybe the bike race

Laguardia in the distance

The Five Boro Bike Tour was an amazing site from the air!

JFK

Jersey City

Jersey Turnpike, what a monster!

Newark

Some other Jersey pics

Ground shots from Brooklyn

Ok, they're all amazing, but my initial reaction when I saw photos 7 & 8 was "holy f&cking sh*t!" (and that was meant in a good way)

This is just insane. I think I saw Big Bird walking down the street in one of those Brooklyn shots.

I don't even know what to say about pictures #7 and 8. Incredilievable. Every single one is. There's enough to look at to last me a few years.

My first post as a new member. I'm really upset. Now I'm going to expect this amazing quality every time, and I know I will wound up disappointed. These were really amazing and unique shots of NYC. Thank you so much!

These are incredible, KCgridlock... some views of the city I've never seen before... like this view of the lower Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines combined.

Perfect illustrations of how New York is unrivaled when it comes to American urbanity.

I wouldn't go that far...but in any case, absolutely fantastic views here. DT Brooklyn has never looked so good.

Awesome thread, Brooklyn is incredibly vast, it's hard to believe I'll be living there in two months.

Mountains of nature meet mountains of man.
