The camera that took it is a small, pocket rangefinder digicam from Kodak with a 10x OPTICAL zoom capability. It's really something of a design wonder. But, of course, the trade-off for minimal size and huge zoom capability is slightly less than sharpness of focus at high zoom.
I have actually ordered a competing model from Panasonic with a different design. Whereas the Kodak uses 2 separate built-in lenses and switches between them depending on the level of zoom you select, the Panasonic has a single complex and high quality lens from Leica. It also does wide angle. I'm hoping to have a lot of fun with it although reportedly it also has some fuzz-making "lens flare" at maximal zoom.
