Q1. How do I get pictures of my city?

A1. In Google Sketchup, go to File>Export>2D Graphic

Q2. How do I get textures for my buildings?

A2. Depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for realistic textures, you may have to resort to using photos, either from the ground or aerials (such as through Live Local, which Patrick uses for his textures in Staunton). I have used some of my own photos in some cases. Otherwise you could look into creating your own simple textures in M$ Paint, though it won't have the same effect as having photo-realistic textures. Another source is to find whatever scraps of textures that you can on Google. The key is to make sure that you reuse your textures a lot!
