Lots of big stuff going up in T.O. Man RBC, Bay-Adelaide, and Ritz are practically identical!

Agreed, though no good angle of Ritz to show how unique it really is. Also should be able to throw Trump on top of that list some time this year, and I can't wait for the lighting on B/A to be installed.

I cant wait for "The Bow" and "Trump" to take their places at the top of the list.

They have been long anicipated. Trump is "scheduled" to begin in July. And this time its a done deal as financing has been secured. But maybe I'm just jinxing it now, and all the condo/hotel owners will pull the cash out from under Talon Group.(from what we now all civic paperwork for construction has been filed and contractor secured for the project.)

We need an Albertan to give us the low down on the tech/and start details for "the bow".

But Ritz is gonna look like it cost 10 billion dollars when its finished. And the B-A will have fancy lighting, which will kinda distingush them. But yeah they look the same in the renderings thats for sure.

Bay Adelaide is just a box with a horribly placed facadism but its saving grace could be if there is any truth to the advertised high quality glass and lighting scheme

I love KPF's corporate conservatism and expect Ritz/RBC complex to compete among the best towers in the nation.

maybe so, but at least they are fairly honest to their forms (besides the unavoidable facadectomy) - can't stand when developers/architects tack on pomo doodads and poles in an attempt to differentiate themselves from another

The reason for the name "Success Tower" is due to large amount of Chinese buyers who think the name will bring "Properity"

I think it may have something to do with Eastern supersititons.

However the Pinnicle Complex is full of Chinese students/ and exchangers.

You updated the list. Nice. Spire and the Met are very sexy towers.

I wish we had more than just 3 major office towers under construction here.

Its been a while since there was a big office tower project in Toronto and I will now learn how slow these things take to get off the ground.

anyone know what the approximate height of 400 Sherbrooke West is?

I know we don't have any official height figures yet, but the thing is already u/c, or just about to begin, as the digging must be quite advanced by now.

I wonder if it has a chance of getting Montreal at least one measly spot on the list...??

I don't think the 400 Sherbrooke West will make the list...

On the Quebec board some members estimated it to be between 115 and 125 metres, and we would need at least 129 metres (423 ft) to crack the top 20...
