Miami...day to night...old hood, tourists, cruis ships, skyline & more (80+ pics)

Well...another day spent as a tourist in my hometown. I hadn't posted pics here in a while. Today we headed to Little Havana. Then off to South Beach.
Finally headed towards the Brickell district of downtown Miami for dinner. In between are old buildings, tourists, old guys playing dominoes, cruise ships, the skyline...etc.
Hope you enjoy these...
First off...late breakfast at Versailles...pastelitos, empanadas, croquetas & of course, Cuban coffee
This is where the old Cuban men meet to discuss the future of Cuba after Castro dies.

Next off I stopped at the Interamerican Center at the entrance to Little Havana on SW 27th Avenue & 8th Street. Drove up to the top of the parking lot to take these.
East over Little Havana

Down SW 7th Street

Northeast on Beacom Boulevard

North on SW 27th Avenue

Northwest

Maximo Gomez Park...aka as Domino Park

The tourist buses show up...

They go in here

Where are they from?...Japan. Most of them made off with bags of Cuban fried plantain chips and packaged Pilon Cuban coffee...Only in Miami

Cuban nick-nacks

Along SW 8th Street

Me taking pictures of tourists taking pictures

Old neighborhoods, homes and apartments

Some shots from Watson Island

Traffic into Miami Beach

Fisher Island from South Pointe Park on Miami Beach

Kids will be kids

The Port of Miami

More cruise ships...wish I was on there

Some of the South of Fifth neighborhood of South Beach along Collins Avenue

Finally we ended up in Brickell...dinner at PF Chang's. This is Mary Brickell Village. This will be an urban open-air shopping center.
Some of the restaurants have opened. Oceanaire opened up this week. The owner's/executive chef's sister works with me.

Some more Brickell area

Hot damn. Miami's one place I'd consider moving to, if I had to live anywhere in Florida.

Good job man. You've taken a lot of pics from angles of the city I had never seen before. Love the cranes too.
