They outplayed 'em in the first half of the game, but the second half was all Russia as far as I'm concerned. Especially with all the dumb penalties Canada was taking. But, good on them for getting another gold.

i wish canada was good at other major sports...this win will just make the country and media focus more and more on hockey.

The first period was great...

Unfortunatly the OT game against the US really outshadowed this one.

Don't forget to add speed skating to the list. Can you say, Cindy Klassen? Sure you can!

Let's give ourselves a pat on the back anyway. Winning something regardless of significance is always good for the national ego!

i think it is a bad thing indirectly. i'd like to know about other sports going on, but all our media is focusing on is these junior boys and their victory. i think we would have more pride as canadians if we could at least compete in sports like soccer and basketball...we have an NBA team for god sakes! countries with 3 million people are able to beat the americans but we cant even qualify for tourneys. but , im sure none of you know about that since the media was probably reporting a 5page spread about a Gary Bettman NHL conspiracy theory.

blah

Anybody else surprised when Toews dropped the f-bomb live on TSN during the post game interview?

/\ The entire bar was just looking around at each other and everybody was asking people at their table "did he just say what I think he said"
