I think this project will only have 1 underground level based on excavation and foundation walls and posts poured to date. Not sure if the underground level will only be under the towers or also extend to the west side of lot which would provide alot more parking spots.

Making progress on the footings now towards the north end of pit. Pit has been dug back more to the west side. Definitely looks like there will only be one underground level. Still no sign of a base for a tower crane.

Will the existing retail plaza be demolished or reconfigured into this project?

I think the current plaza is gone when the second phase is built. Only thing staying is the house on the corner.

Still no sign of a tower crane. Progress on footings and foundation is very slow.

Now forming for the ground floor slab in the south end of pit. L1 walls and posts still being formed in the north end of pit. Still no signs of a tower crane although they have brought in a second mobile crane.

Still working on ground floor slab forming. L1 level walls and posts continuing at north end of pit. Still no signs of a tower crane being setup. At this stage most contractors would have been using a tower crane by now rather then a mobile crane.

Have now got some of the ground floor slab installed on the south end of building. Still working on the L1 walls and posts on the north end.

Concrete pump truck onsite today as they continue to work on the L1 level walls and posts on the west side. They appear to have got the east side up to ground level now. Could see the first ground floor walls and posts being formed soon.

They have installed structural steel for the ground floor along Hyde Park on the south end of the building. Believe this will be commercial/retail fronting the street.

This is from the Featherfields parking lot on the SW corner, looking north. Streetfront retail steel, hard to see behind that.

Been building concrete block ground floor walls inside the structural steel section for a few weeks now. Still no signs of a tower crane being brought in to build the rest of this south building. Would expect formed concrete walls for this 8 story building. This is definitely a unusual build and very slow for a building this size. Wonder when the tenants in the retail plaza just to the north will start vacating their spaces so it can be demolished for the north tower.

The rigid crane has now been removed. Today they were using a mobile crane to install the 2nd floor precast concrete slabs using the concrete block walls previously built.

Started building some of the 2nd floor walls with concrete block. Still no sign indicating this is an 8 story building as it looks more like a 2 story L shaped commercial building now.

Landing some of the 3rd floor slabs on the west side along Gainsborough Rd. Still using a mobile crane and no signs of a tower crane coming. This still appears to be a 2 story commercial building with no indication that it would be a 8 story residential building. Very odd approach to construction for this project.

Building the 3rd floor walls with concrete block now underway. Structural steel for 3rd and 4th floor posts now installed. Looks like the plan for this 8 floor building is going to be structural steel, concrete block walls and precast floor slabs.

I thought that it was going to be 3 stories in the front along the road, with apartment buildings rising higher with a setback. it was also supposed to engulf the existing plaza and stretch to incorporate the old house. perhaps this is only phase I

Nice renders. I guess "Phase II" (Northern part) will be built at a later point in time?
