Yes, and the image is crisper too. Not much change.

Note I said "updated" render, not new render........

It is interesting to note however, that if you look at the signage carefully, that the full name of this building is Vizion North. Does this imply that there will be a future "Vizion South"?????

They have (proactively) cleared a bunch of land immediately to the south of this building project..........

According to a Huddle article, the former Bell Aliant building on Mapleton Road will become the home of Thrive Properties head office.

Thrive intends to occupy 6,000 sq ft of space in the building.

In addition to Thrive, I gather there are already two other confirmed (but unnamed) tenants for the building. There will be a "professional service provider" and a "distribution office". Design work will be carried out by Sable/ARC.

Beyond 20/20 Optometry is planning a substantial expansion. There is an addition being made to the main plaza in the Shoppes at Hastings Ridge on Mountain Road to accommodate this.

Nice pics!

As an aside, Chatime in the Northwest Centre is apparently planning to open on December 26th (an odd date to pick if you ask me). Once it opens, the NWC will be back to 100% occupancy........

The new BK/KFC building under construction has collapsed on itself.

The nor’easter had something to do with it.

I believe by construction regulation they can't reuse any of it. All the roof trusts would have to be re-certified. Probably cheaper to get new ones.

They've put up quite a few more braces this time and the roof trusts aren't up yet, so maybe it will survive this nor-easter.

Mayor Dawn Arnold had a recent FB post discussing a meeting she held with north end residents regarding traffic and development concerns.

The post included this image:

It clearly shows a planned connector street between Glencairn and Mailhot, with a new street extending northward bisecting the trailer park, leading to Mountain Road at the intersection with Sheraton Green next to the ANBL store.

I knew this was the plan. Obviously it is still on the books. I wonder at what point the trailer park will move, and the new streets created? I winder if this topic came up in the meeting???

Rumour has it that Pizza Pizza may be opening a second location in the central portion of Mountain Road in the former DIY Studio location (basically across the street from Domino's Pizza - they'll be pleased)........

The trailer park owns the area southwest of Mailhot/Glencairn too. Interesting.

And is that an extension of Chelsea to Mountain/Pasadena on the far right?

Yeah, I don't know what that's about. They would have to sacrifice Guys Frenchys to put a road in there, and I don't know why they would. I see little benefit to doing so.

I guess Moncton is seeing a pizza war, Pizza Pizza is delicious for a chain and their price is competitive, the crust selection is unheard of, they are not the largest pizza chain in Canada for nothing. I taught Pizza Pizza didn't come here because of the local chains & Greco's dominance and Pizza Delight to an extent. So I guess Pizza Pizza is really ready to rumble. The few times I went and passed in front of the Dieppe location it was busy, even with their strange-ish or awkward location.
