the roof of this tower will reach 920 ft. the top lighter part of the tower is an architectural addition called a parapet that does not count toward roof height but does count toward architectural height topping out at 1,070 feet.

for example in the building page of 50 first street tower 1 the top glass parapet doesn't count toward roof height, its added to the spire height.

The tower tapers as the building rises, beginning at a height of about 380 feet. From there, the exterior walls will slope gently inward on all four sides, giving the building a curving, obelisk-like form. The 172-foot horizontal dimension along each side of the ground floor will reduce to about 138 feet at the building roof, a height of about 920 feet."
