From what we've seen, the tower is being built just off of the bay fill line. The good thing either way is that the foundation was drilled down into bedrock. I agree that its rise couldn't be more than the Pyramid's, if that.

I looked at a digitalization of an old USGS topo map of SF which indicated that the Transbay Terminal had been at 19 feet.

Nice shots. Curious if the corner glazing is actually curved or segmented to appear curved. From the glass reflection it looks genuine curved which would indicate the quality and expense going into the curtainwall.

Awesome B. Yup, real curved. Glass and exterior aluminum. That's quality!

Still a few floors to go.

I'm intrigued by the order in which they're hanging the curtain wall pieces.

Are they going to close that gap in the middle of the metal shell on the Transbay Terminal? Looks odd with that strip there.

^ In addition to that, how do they plan to keep the rain out with the perforated aluminum instead of glass?

Hi, what is the name of the smaller tower being constructed close to the Salesforce Tower, and what is its intended height?

That's just the busway, anyways, no?

Judging from this cross section, the actual "concourse" will be in the center - where buses will dock, I suppose - and be enclosed in glass.

Jerry's picture from the 181 thread along with viewguysf's above offer the most tangible evidence I've seen that Salesforce's core has begun to change shape.

I wonder if they will take down half of the outer forms in the next day or two. A little less than four days on average, the outer forms rise, and tomorrow will be the fourth day.

And, the outer forms already should have the walls of the 49th floor contained with concrete.

For the first time in over 50 years the SF skyline is finally going vertical instead of horizontal and breaking out of the tabletop. Every week after this one is going to be more and more dramatic.
