At least we get the fireworks show right half of the time - - - during New Year's Eve! Happy Fourth to everyone!

I love this building! What a great addition to the lovely San Francisco skyline!

Good for you guys. I visit family in SF maybe every other year. I'll be sure to check this building out the next time I'm there.

And Philly-Drew.. I can't wait to see Comcast Technology Center. I hope it will be done by Thanksgiving. I have family I will be visiting in November. That monster is awesome! Great addition to the Philly skyline.

As the construction screen is removed the balconies can now be seen on the southwest side.
View from my apartment in the Civic Center with the zoom on my camera.

UPDATED: THE "BALCONIES" ARE AN OPTICAL ILLUSION! THE WINDOWS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING LOOK AT A DISTANCE LIKE THEY ARE ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE BUT ARE ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE. The building will keep it's smooth shape after all!

^^^That's interesting. And to think this whole time I thought they were running behind in the corner window installation.

Who knew there were balconies? Not me.

In a way, they detract from the streamlined nature of the skin but I suppose it must be amazing to step out on one--almost like stepping onto that glass platform grafted on the Sears Tower (or whatever they call it now).

Don't think those are balconies - just some trick lighting.

Upon looking at the highest resolution it appears that the windows are on the other side of the building and not on the "balconies" side. Yes, I agree with edwards, an optical illusion!

Would have been ok if they were mini balconies? No. I think the majority of us cringed at that thought. Smooth all the way up and all around. Yessiree bob. Don't mess up a great thing. Jeez. Balconies!? Really? Thank God it is an optical illusion

There are no balconies people. The crown is currently unfinished.

What appeared to be balconies are not in the crown but you are right--everyone has concluded what appeared to be balconies in Jerry's photo are an optical illusion.

One can glimpse the lower part of the North side of SF Tower being finished this week via the Mission St. webcam.
