Yes, but great for fill. These are the kinds of buildings you want when they are eventually surrounded by taller buildings. I like a good mix of low, mid and tall height. If those 2 500' proposals get any traction (and I think Aspirants will have a good chance), it's going to look great!

Not a fan of the Stewart nor am I a fan of this one but I'm glad to see development taking off regardless.

They give me a very Miami vibe but they are great for filler.

Nothing much to see yet unless you like pictures of guys in hard hats and piles of dirt.

What don't you like about them or how do you think they could be improved?

I myself think they are great looking towers. They may be stubby, but that's because the blocks they are going on have low height limits. However, their overall design aesthetics are not much different than Link, Kinnect or Hines.

^ If 19 stories of residential in Downtown PHX is now considered "stubby" we are making serious progress

Looks like the base for the tower crane has been installed on this one and the bottom rebar for the columns is in place. Today cement trucks where lined up getting ready to start making pours.

This thread has been a little quiet. So I have a question.

Does anyone know what they're doing with the second lot once they finish building Aspire? I know it was originally called Duo on Filmore, so are they just going to build another twin?

Updated Photos

If you follow Aspire Fillmore on Instagram, they frequently post updated photos of the construction:

Nice thanks for sharing. One thing I did notice on their IG page, under their caption, they refer to Aspire as an "Apartment & Condo Building". Condos?

Instagram only has one description available for this particular use so they lump them both together.

It was actually first called Aspire, then changed to Duo and then back to Aspire again. I know there is another apartment complex called Duo somewhere in Phoenix on Indian School I believe, so maybe that created a naming issue? Either way, I'm fairly sure the staging lot for Aspire will be developed once Aspire is completed as I think Aspirant owns that lot as well.

I haven't heard they will be anything more than apartments, but who knows. They seem to change projects many times as they're getting developed/built here.

You're right, that's my bad. I confused it w/ the custom "Caption" free-form text field and thought maybe that's what they entered.

Thanks for the info!
