Ithaca Voice article about some future developments. Some info has been posted before, but the first item (Rimland Tower) surprised me with how far along it is in the system. Plus I'm also surprised that the new building over the Rothchild's Building.
The city planning board meeting had a couple of surprises, but not too much in the way of progress for several projects. What might take a few months of reviews in other cities could take years in Ithaca. Opinionated folks up there. From the Ithaca Voice:
The City Planning Board meeting went well except for the talk about rezoning the Waterfront district. Sounds like a waste of potential land which could be used for development and hasn't been active for years. Sometimes the city really pisses me off. Seems like everyone thinks they're and architect, engineer, landscape designer or such. Slow the approval process.
