Thx Urbannizer for the great pics.

- You'll see more columns being worked on the western edge of the property. Paul is getting concrete below and John has rebar awaiting forms.
- They dug a foundation trench along the NW corner of the building outline and it has rebar now awaiting concrete (bottom left of pic)
- They are adding large forms in the central elevator cores and you'll see a large wall section of rebar being lifted in the picture below. I think all these new forms in the elevators should rise in place on top of the truss structures we saw placed last week.

Have we had any three crane projects since the Fairmont? If Waterline would hurry up and get their two additional cranes up that would be two three crane projects at the same time!

Good question. I can't think of any other three crane downtown projects since the Fairmont. But there have been a lot of projects outside of downtown that have had three or more tower cranes - Apple Campus #2, Springdale Green, TXDot's Stassney Ln HQ, etc., etc.

Does The Travis have three cranes? I believe the last photo taken (which was back in July!) shows a crane section off to the right. Can’t tell if it’s just a section for the second crane or the base for a third one.

Currently the Travis has 2 cranes up, Someone else on here may be able to tell us if a 3rd crane will be used but as far as I know, there will only be 2 for the Travis.

It has two. That was a section for the crane going up at the time.

I have been wondering if this is the year the Ledge decides to sell it off. It has to be, right?

If they could make it a package with the state parking garage, so much the better.

I do know they are emptying Hobby. My cousin worked there and she relocated to the new building north of the capitol a few weeks ago.

The leg already authorized selling Hobby and the Gayrage. Now that it is empty, the Texas Facilities Commission is free to market them. The bill gave the City of Austin and other public entities first right of refusal to purchase. The City refused.

For sentimental reasons I always liked the Hobby Complex because it was the only new construction on that part of town in the 80s. I always appreciated the color and the fountains when they worked. And after the power wash, it looked as good as new at least from the outside. I won't cry when its torn down but, and I say this as a certain minority, it is an iconic from the 80s when I got here hoping for more construction downtown.

Yeah, I'll miss it for those same reasons. Man, all the concerts I've been to at Auditorium Shores when it was an outpost on the skyline.

I also like the building. Wish it could be re-purposed with lots more interface with the street. Not everything downtown needs to be a tall glass box. At least there is no parking podium.

- More column work; Ringo getting rebar in picture
- Form work almost done on Western elevator bank for 2nd level pour
- Dug out about 3' of soil south of the central core mat and first of the large black rectangular two section tanks placed
- Slab preparation in the NW corner of the building; form boards on edge, area leveled, painted and plastic going down
- Backfill around central core and the poured pit space in the SE corner
- Concrete wall forms in SW corner (not pictured due to cooling tower blockage)
