Another nice update. Lest we forget about the tall ones already U/C with all the recent project proposal news.

- Form walls in place for the 2 elevators perpendicular to the eastern most 4 elevator bank.
- Polyguard and rubber type membrane applied to elevator exterior walls and mat floor. Gravel backfill as they go.
- 2nd tier of floor poured in the SE pit. Is this space for stormwater retention?
- Large floor drain and black tank placed in dug out area which will be the loading dock (east of crane 2). Lots of piping being worked.
- More electrical conduit buried with special 90 degree pre-made rigs bringing the conduit above grade
- Delivery of 2 section black tanks (bottom left of picture)
- More columns being prepared and poured including a large one just north of crane 2 on top of the pier I had named Yoko.
- Truss structures with a floor that exactly fit inside the 4 elevator cores lowered into at least 3 of the cores. I assume these will be part of the rising form structure as they climb.

Core, Columns, and Crane Update 9/15/22

Perpendicular walls of eastern 2 elevators poured and forms removed. Waterproofing and gravel fill continue with almost all of mat covered.

10 columns poured in SW corner and 3 more with rebar placed including Paul. Schematic below shows the columns poured with green circles and the rebar placed columns indicated with orange rectangles.

Finally a section for Crane 3 arrived late in the day.

Thank you for all the updates, Ray. We probably don’t say it often enough, but we appreciate your work.

Does anyone experience the same thing? I get more excited with news of new development and ground breaking but once construction starts the excitement fizzles. And then I stop paying attention until the tower starts to rise significantly and then I'm excited all over again. I see a lot of activity on a lot of these major projects but even if there are pictures involved, I'm just rather bored. Lol

Foundation work takes time and literally begins by going down instead of up.

I feel the same way. I am mainly interested in finding out about new projects/elevations/renderings. Once construction starts I'm usually focused on discovering the next new projects.

The exciting and the new will always seem more interesting, because the possibilities are endless. Once something has been solidified, the possibilities are much more limited. It’s the same reason kids sometimes enjoy unwrapping Christmas presents more than actually playing with the toys. The trick is to find new excitement after the surprise is over. I’m personally enjoying watching and learning about the construction process from 360_Ray.

Yeah I'm totally aware at how irrational it is. It's definitely more exciting to see projects break ground. It's just sort of like this dopamine addiction when you see new posts about constriction proposals. Once they start construction, it's just business as usual.

Oh, I don't know. I think those are some beautiful columns. I still think this is the one tower I'm most excited about. Sure, there are some taller ones and some trailblazing ones in unique spots, but man, this has it all. Location and looks and height. I'm in love...

And girth! I’m tired of skinny buildings.

Me too. I even liked the shorter version although the added height made this my favorite for all the reasons you mentioned plus the huge impact to the park looking south and 6X to the north, big time big city look. I like the construction education I'm getting by the almost daily updates, but can't wait to see the updates that follow the garage floors. I had my doubts this was going to happen, but I think I'm even more surprised at how it came to life so quickly when it did. Game changer for sure.

This one has be particularly interesting for me. I have the same view as Ray. My home office has me sitting in a window so I can just turn my head and look down. I've been super interested in all the ground level work that gets done before any vertical construction starts. So may projects seem to kind of stop with no visible work going on when in reality they are doing this kind of work. You just can't see it. Way cool!
