I really like the detail on the crown! Those little steel slats and the bevel make quite a difference--we'll see if they make the cut!

If they're smart they'll have a limited public observation zone or public bar.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want common folks like me freeloading the view the residents are paying dearly for.

Wait, Doesn't Dallas have some supertall proposals? What's the status of that?

No. The one 83-story tower proposal that people thought would be a supertall, is all residential and maybe hotel and will fall short of supertall status.

Talk of an epic up to ~80 story tower for Goldman Sacks could be a game-changer for Big D https://www.dallasnews.com/business/...-a-generation/

Cannot believe we have a 1,000+ footer u/c in ATX, doubt Houston or Dallas will be ok with this for long. May the next boom begin.

Goldman Sacks is not building or occupying an 80-story tower in Dallas. The Dallas project compilation thread has more info.

I wonder if this building will be used for the Over the Edge fundraiser.

Goldman doesn't have enough employees in Dallas for an 83 floor tower. They don't even operate that large of a building in NYC and they are subleasing half the space in 1 liberty in JC.

GS is moving into an awesome multi tower project in Dallas. But it's not the 83-story tower which will be residential and hotel. The GS office tower should be a big one too. But neither tower will be a supertall.

The GS "Tower" is planned to be in the range of 15-20 stories. The rest of the awesome multi tower project (especially the 83-story tower) is not much more than speculation at this point.

I think everything in that story seems to be accurate. But I don't think that story claims that G-S will occupy an 83-story tower. The reality is that the G-S building is only planned to be 15-20 stories.
