Interesting note, the landed seat fee will be dropped with phase I taking effect April 1st.The next phase takes effect shortly after.
What does it mean?
It means that carriers will only be charged for the number of passengers on board.Rather than;that 737 has 42 people onboard but will charge them for the 102.
It's good for everyone and gives all the more reason for more flight activity.
-Sobeys west the division of Sobeys capital who has the corporate office for western operations in Edmonton will move one of its corporate aircraft to YEG for the companies western division.
The aircraft, a IAI Astra will be based at the EFC FBO.

An interesting development - this would have some (albiet small) impact on connecting passenger loads from smaller communities who catch charter flights from YEG and YYC etc. Calgary based.

Ah PWA. I remember going to say bye to my mom once a week at the airport as she left for Edmonton city centre on a PWA 737-200. I still vaguely remember what YYC looked like back then. It'd be interesting to see some archival photos.
I still remember flying a Wardair DC-10 from YYZ-CUN when Cancun was barely more than a sandbar with a few hotels on it...
Did it a few times, then the A310's arrived and Cancun was booming with hotels and resorts.
Even flew a 747-200 on a domestic flight from YYZ-YEG-YVR with Vancouver being my final destination.It was pretty cool and something you cant really do now.That was back in 85 or 86.
