Well some people don't see the beauty in a 57 Chevy either.

Can anyone tell me if this is the most recent (and/or complete) render of future Montreal?

Ps; Great job on this, G.S MTL!

You're just going to have to donate one of them to the 'isaidso' fund.

kris at Urban Toronto did a quick sketch of what Toronto's skyline will look like from the lake once the second Ice tower tops out later this year:

Original is by Jack Landau on flickr

With the exception of the Southcore Delta hotel eventually poking up somewhere between the Shangri-La and the leftmost Ice tower, that view of the skyline won't change much for a couple years, by which time Ten York, One York and Harbour Plaza Residences will start to make an impact.

So many ugly waterfront buildings. Especially the brownish beige looking ones to the right. Hopefully we can say good bye to those sometime in the near future.

....Too bad the TD bank towers aren't a little bit taller. They look really great.

The top of Waterpark 3 will be visible directly in front of TD Canada Trust in that view.

I rant about those all the time. I consider them to be one of the worst mistakes the city has made because it creates a 30 floor high wall 500 ft wide and dissects the waterfront in half. You have to walk around it, and not on the lake side. My eye is drawn to that scar on our waterfront in every shot from the Islands.

It's called Harbour Square and we're likely stuck with it for the next 100 years.

Too bad Traynor isn't around anymore to fashion a killer render for us, including Mirvish, Oxford, One Yonge complex, et al.

^^^ That sucks. They are so hideous maybe some developer can sneakily buy it and tear them down at night and free the skyline of their tyranny. I also hate those beige buildings to the right of the CN Tower.

And FCP has to do something about that poo poo on the roof.

Agree with all that, but no one is going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to buy Harbour Square just to demolish it. As nice as that would be, it's still a huge waste of money. Maybe a tornado can take it out.

Winnipeg's potential future skyline in the next few years. A good number of these are under construction already, with more beginning soon. Some are proposals.

My edit of TrueVikings picture.

GO PEG!
I'm especially liking the potential of the Westin & Fortress towers.
Really hope you get a new tallest.
