I mean they had said they wanted to start spring, so I would surmise by May.

Definitely feeling excited for this. Funny how a little sign can bring on such a feeling.

Yes they did.

The first week they will be taking out anything that belong to the city like the brand new parking payment machines. They will need to put up fencing, block the driveways, remove the asphalt, move in construction trailer/office and the important portable toilets, etc.

Then the pile driving around the outside of the building to keep everything out from falling in and then they start digging. Hopefully the don't find any surprise like an underground stream. I would be extremely happy if they get above ground by this time next year!

Hopefully they won't be stuck in a Big Damn Hole like the Cobalt building has I go right past the lot every Saturday to go volunteer, so this'll be very fun to watch develop over the next few months

Half the reason I’m so excited for this is that it will mostly block the Marquees gigantic parking garage from view when you drive along King Street. It’s really quite ugly and is the “highest profile” view of that project right now.

They probably won't start anything until after University's year-end, which is the end of April. So perhaps May or June 2021.

The most impressive thing about that wall is that it has not been tagged!

I believe Darko may have leg breakers on staff. Could be the disincentive they might represent that impresses

As much as I hate the lots between King William and Wilson, this one has been far more insidious.

Good riddance. And thank you Mac.

Going to be a fantastic upgrade with actual design elements implemented.

I can't remember, but is anything on the horizon for the parking lot across from Meridian, beside the AGH?

The lot is owned by McMaster, but there is no plans right now for a development as far as I know.

So excited for this one, I imagine once they break ground it will go up fast and use quality materials the likes Hamilton hasn't seen yet in the recent construction boom!

They now have two trailers set up. Does the site plan use this back portion of the parking lot? It looks like they'll be using this as a construction office section while only digging the lot against King.
