Massive market for it. The same market as the monstrosities in Kanata around Centrum and the three towers (soon to be 5) in Barrhaven: Retired empty nesters downsizing, selling their homes, stuffing their keepsakes in a Dymon storage unit, renting an apartment or buying a condo in the neighborhood they have lived in for decades, and using the equity from the home to travel and support the kids. This market will probably continue to grow right through the echo generation.

They've started a 4th tower before they were even done building the 3rd tower so I'd say they dont have a problem selling/renting them at all.

For some, this is highly desirable: no maintenance, no downtown traffic/LRT/shootings/panhandlers, etc.

I think so...A lot of the buyers are empty nesters who raised their families in Orleans and now want to downsize and remain in the area, often because their kids have families now in the same area. Many like the condo life but don't really want to be downtown. Orleans has a fairly loyal core of residents.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I can view life from a very narrow lense being 21 years old.

I took a couple of pictures at the site of tower 4. How do I load them into one of these posts? (sorry for the question but I have no idea where else to ask.)

Would love to see them!

We gave a forum help guide with some external photo sharing options.

If that doesn't help, let us know.

You used the link to the post, instead of to each image. When you're on the post page, right-click on each image and select Copy Image Link (or similar, depending on your browser). Paste those links as images into your message.

rocketphish beat me to posting the image, but yeah, final step is to right click each image and "copy image address", that's what you want in the image brackets.

Thanks folks, appreciate the coaching. Been years since I've used BBcodes.

I was going to say, the French do it better, but the ones in Kanata and Farhaven are Lépine. So, les Québecois do it better?

I actually don't mind the cluster of buildings near Kanata's Centrum, and prefer them over Petrie's Landing. These things are just so ugly -- barfy colours and so stumpy.

The buildings around Centrum are shades of grey and babycrap, and are far stumpier than these
