Only someone from Calgary could put a positive spin on that forecast. Chance of flurries alone would be highly demoralizing. Vegetation will be dead. Winter will have begun in many ways.

Environment Canada's latest forecast show back to low teens from Tuesday.

Even the local forecaster's trends show it recovering around mid next week.

Still plenty could change of course. Nothing beyond 1-2 days is ever accurate here.

This is just how fall in the high prairies / foothills goes, some days are cool and some are really nice, but it is highly variable. We will get back up into the 20's and I'll get out on the MTB trails in the foothills again. The benefit is we are about 6 weeks out from the start of ski season!

We out west tend to look for positives in the weather instead of complaining about it.

The damage will have been done by that point. Trees, flowers, veggie gardens, done for the winter and not back for 7 to 8 months. That is insanity and it happens every year. It is what is sure, every climate has its good and bad. But hitting 20 after it snowed and was below freezing is not quite the same as doing it otherwise.

Sorry I was looking at The Weather Networks forecast. I know Calgary's weather forecast changes everyday, sometimes drastically. Who knows what tomorrow will bring haha.

Pretty similar to mine but a couple of differences...

20C and sunny this afternoon.

12C was the low this morning. Cloudy and drizzly. Thankfully, those crappy conditions didn't last for long.

The warmspot was Borden, ON at 27.6C

I've stopped using the Weather Network years ago.

It's much cooler today, cool west wind, only 20 degrees and low humidity. I think there is a risk we could drop below 10 tonight. The forecast is 12, so we'll see.
