Its funny that I was thinking about Miami Beach when the idea of another Publix going there came up but I think that situation is kind of unique.
There is definitely a market for more grocery options in Midtown and I just read that Publix was developing a new smaller urban store format. I just thought that some of the other grocers that typically have stores about exactly the size of this space would be eager to get into this market. If it is a Publix though, its doubtful that it will have all the glass shown in the renderings along the 6th street. I do love the way this project is so thoughtfully designed and it irritates me that some of the other projects on much larger sites insist on incorporating deck entrances on the busier streets, especially Azure on the Park.
