Once again, no, it is not used to dry the concrete. Troweling is used to finish the surface when you desire a hard, smooth, surface. It does not assist in the drying process.

Which also means that it hardens and strengthens.

Yeah, the machine looks like a cross between a lawn mower and a floor buffer.

Are the construction workers on duty Saturdays and Sundays? And do they work three shifts?

Well, maybe not three shifts. People live near the site and have to sleep at night.

It seems to be inconsistent... sometimes there is alot going on on Sunday and sometimes next to nothing. Saturday is always busy. They work single shifts just like during the week.

Speaking of pics, is the HD Webcam out of service? I get the Control Center page with time and weather info but the rest is blank.

No, it's working. Last morning it was so damn foggy, you couldn't see anything.
But if the image isn't loading for you, here it is:
Core is starting to rise:

And the whole site (Click to enlarge):

Now that things are starting to take shape, here's a reminder again of where and what everything is:

That image is a couple of years old (I just found it early in the BofA thread) so I don't how much (if any) of the plans has changed...

The underground is quite massive and looks like it will be an amazing site.

My favorite aspects are the underground connectors to Fulton Street Station and the WFC.

I noticed though they had cut down on car parking and made a lot more bus parking.

Parking underground is probably limited to mostly employee parking

I was about to ask what those large stacked things are near 7 WTC, but a larger pic shows that they are office trailers.

Yeah, the bottom diagram shows pretty much where we are now.

Looks like things are progressing quite nicely on the core of the FT. Does anyone know when the next load of structural steel is scheduled to be delivered? How much more progress should we expect before winter arrives? I realize next year at this time the core should (??) be rising to street level - just very excited that progress is being made on a daily basis!
