Yea I hope it's the whole building, and it very well could be.

I understand why everyone hates the exposed concrete, but Jesus, can y'all wait until the project is complete before you judge it? Same thing happened when the parking deck was being built for 33 Peachtree and people seriously thought they were just gonna leave it exposed without a facade/finishing touches.

Oak Street Development has filed for a zoning variance to build some houses (or townhomes?) adjacent to the Beltline Eastside trail in Virginia Highland, at 680 Drewry Street. I don't see this on the Devmap (is that updated any more?), and I haven't seen any official announcement, but it appears to be moving forward since their initial application back in October 2015. The developer's website is a hilarious disaster.

And more development coming to the west side. Alliance Residential paid the fees and filed their SAP for a 5-story residential building at 1084 Howell Mill, just west of White Provisions.

And on the Beltline Eastside Trail, Studioplex has filed an SAP for a townhome development. I'm a bit confused by this, because I thought they're moving forward with a hotel. I checked the parcel and it wraps around the whole Studioplex, bounded by the Beltline, Edgewood, Irwin, and Airline. So maybe the townhomes would go on the west side, fronting Airline? The SAP was actually filed by Long Engineering, who have been very active in planning and land development in Atlanta on all sorts of projects.

Each development sounds appropriate for their respective areas. Looking forward to renderings and price-points, although I'm sure the price for either will be unattainable for most.

Whatever happened to that AMLI project near Lenox where the crane fell over? Is that back on track?

How tall is this? Rendering please ? The crane is very tall and looks like it can be raised higher.

I'm not sure how tall it will be when topped out, I guess its probably in the range of most high-rises going up this cycle low 20's.

The developer behind Azure on the Park and Cyan on Peachtree is planning something big on Memorial Drive:

Atlantic Realty is behind recent projects throughout Atlanta, including Cyan on Peachtree, Azure on The Park in Midtown and 321 mid-rise apartments around the Braves' SunTrust Park. According to the paperwork, the new Grant Park development would encompass several parcels around 465 Memorial Drive SE and would entail new construction greater than 250,000 square feet. Specifics beyond that are under wraps, for now. Inquiries left with the developer this week were not returned. Expect updates if more information becomes available.

Also do we think we will ever see phase 2 of Novare's Centennial Park project take off this cycle?

Maybe they could put a Skyhouse Centennial Park there. Like they put a Skyhouse in Viewpoint's phase 2.

Unprecedented support across all demographics and political affiliation for MARTA expansion. Hopefully the GA legislature and Gov. Deal get it.

465 Memorial Drive Is In The Works.

Atlantic Realty Partners' , whose portfolio includes Cyan on Peachtree and Azure on The Park in Midtown, in addition to The Reserve Decatur and The Reserve at The Ballpark, is interested in the property at 465 Memorial Drive - between Six Feet Under and where Larkin on Memorial will be. A City Planning Department application for redevelopment of the property lists the applicant as Ben Curran — ostensibly the senior director of development for Atlantic Realty Partners, who's responsible for site acquisition, among other duties.According to the application, the new development would consist of "several parcels": 465 Memorial Drive, 470 Woodward Avenue, and 475 Memorial Drive with construction greater than 250,000 square feet.As is, the Barnett Performance warehouse has 100,000 square feet of inventory and occupies a full city block.

I think this may already be topped out. I looked at it yesterday from Peachtree, didn't look like it was going any higher. In other news, one can finally see Alliance getting close to getting above the tree line.

They are going south of the hotel and a second set is going on Airline to screen the new parking deck.

Agreed. These are exciting times in this city, to be certain. The top-5-in-the-county job growth, Beltline, Ponce and Krog Markets, Buckhead Atlanta, amazing infill all over the city.

The only major thing left (besides, maybe, better city of Atlanta public schools) is better and expanded public transit. Hopefully the time for this is NOW.

Unfortunately, we cannot discuss transit on this development thread.

It could be nothing, but I noticed some heavy equipment on the parking lot of 880 West Peachtree doing some work. Soil testing perhaps...

Anyone have any updates on leasing activity in Midtown. The ABC reported 7th and Peachtree at 75% filled before opening. I wonder how the other projects leasing are fairing.

I walked on the site this morning and saw a few markers and nearly all of the trees had white tape around them just might be the beginnings of something
