Perhaps I'd bet on 450-500 meters which are the height figures we've seen so far and is how high they can build, which in this location they'd be wise to take advantage of.

Especially considering that the neighboring Chase and Vanderbilt towers are a little above 420 meters.

Just like Randolph e Mortimer Duke, but considering they were rich, i would bet € 0,05 or $

The Hotel Commodore can go, we are getting a beautiful and unique building!! As for the Roosevelt Hotel, I think they should landmark it, it's a beautiful building with a lovely facade. And lastly, Hotel Penn I have mixed emotions. It's nice but not as nice as the Roosevelt Hotel. I don't like the plan for Penn station itself, it's not improving foot traffic and other things, but rather just redoing the station with towers around it. Don't get me wrong it will look nice with marble and everything open and natural light , but I don't like the way they are doing it.

Pretty sure Roosevelt Hotel is already in pre demolition, it's not getting landmarked.
"it's not improving foot traffic and other things" Inside or outside? If you're talking about outside, you're wrong. I haven't seen any plans for the inside but I assume they'll be redoing that as well.

No, your getting confused, The Roosevelt Hotel is not in pre-demolition. The Penn Hotel is in pre-demolition. Two different buildings in two different areas. As for the hotel commodore, I will be the first one to start demolition for this new sexy tower. The base alone is just mind blowing and I love every aspect of this new tower. As for Penn 15 tower it's just ok. I somewhat agree with NYConsrtuction geek, not against new towers but not a fan of penn station plan itself. MSG needs to go along with it's rats. I also don't like the plan for the sky bridge to be torn down and south of penn.

I think he or she means inside or just the whole theme of Penn station plan itself.

Why are there 3 brand new forum members posting all at the same time in this thread??? Same person seems likely.

Oh well I seemed to have mixed up the hotels then, sorry about that. No idea if it will get landmarked.

From NYGuy's screenshot here:

Is that a new official render of 343 Madison? Doesn't look much taller than Metlife when you consider Metlife is closer to the foreground, but hoping that's just a visual illusion/elevation issue.

sorry for the OT but what's the "major redevelopment" planned for 601 Lex (Citicorp)? Isn't that a landmark too?

No. The image of 270 Park is old too.

Here's the latest of 343. It will be 1,050' tall.

Citicorp is not getting redeveloped, it was landmarked in 2016!

They’re talking about at the base, lower levels.

I mentioned earlier, that’s not the 1,000 ft version of the tower. It’s just a graphic meant to place 175 Park in context. There are no new renderings.

Back on the screenshots, in the last there’s a model of 175 with what looks like a slightly different crown. There’s also a tower on the right that could be another variant.

what would be a future NYC icon without an arbitrary height reduction... at least it will be taller than Central Park Tower.

Even if that's true, 1,575 is amazing.
