I thought I saw Clockzilla there for a sec!

Great to see skylines from outside of our traditional cores. Thanks for posting!

You kind of did. St-Leo has the distinction of hosting one of Clockzilla's litter mates.

Did not realize there was a Rink of Dreams. Sounds like we played into a stereotype .

Also these Vancity shots are a little more candid than the typical vantage points that end up on here but I thought that they were interesting enough to copy over and share:

Some background on the Rink of Dreams. It was a series of rinks built by the Ottawa Senators Foundation over a decade or so. Most were built in low-income neighbourhoods in the Ottawa-Gatineau. The one at City Hall was the first artificially cooled and it was meant as one that could be enjoyed by the entire city and offer an alternative to the somewhat unreliable Rideau Canal.

really a shame about that ugly one on the left, but really great to see Burrard Place starting to dominate from this view considering how far away it is!

They're not Canadian skylines (don't kill me!), but I'm currently in Taiwan, and thought you guys would like a little compilation of Tainan and Kaohsiung's night skyline.

Nice. I appreciate it.

Tuntex Sky Tower for the win!

Halifax is looking great in all the photos recently.

Pretty Ottawa pic! I wish those towers were as tall as the tops of the antennas on them though.

Agreed. The tallest (Place de Ville C) was initially proposed in the low 40 floors with a similar design to Tour de La Bourse in Montreal. It was approved by the City, but rejected by the NCC. We ended up with the 29 floor bronze International style tower we have now.
