Could it have been better? Sure, but this will be a real improvement over what was there previously.

the bridge portion itself is 240m long

During this phase, a pilot channel will be excavated under the bridge, essentially diverting the flow of the river and widening it to 180 metres from the current 61 metres.

I thought they'd be digging down deeper, since The Tides has underground parking. It doesn't seem to be much lower than the road.

It is underground if you consider that the building points backward and ground level is higher up the hill. The road is much lower than the main floor, and they'll have to walk up the hill two floors to get to the level of the main entrance on the back.

Yeah, makes sense if the driveway inclines to the parking lot at the back. Then the main floor entrance would be higher than the road.

Observations:

1) - decorative streetlighting has been installed on the bridge and the Moncton approaches. It looks a lot like the lighting on the Gunningsville Bridge.
2) - the river channel is definitely widening, especially upstream fro the former causeway.

The land has been cleared for the new Thrive building off of Gunningsville. I believe that work is planned to start in this building sometime early this summer.

It seems like they might be ahead of schedule. Every time I look at a new drone video, they've made quite a lot of progress. Of course they probably gave themselves a cushion when estimating the completion date.

Regarding The Kensington in Clayton's Fairways development:

The have one of the two buildings completely framed and closed in, but there has been no movement on the second building (except for the common foundation). Are they not starting the second building until the first building is complete?

It looks a bit different than initially conceived, but still nice enough. Many of the units are three bedroom or two bedroom plus den. This remains a high quality development. The list of amenities is available on the website above.

Definitely different than anything around these parts. I really like it. Like the size of the apartments and what I like most, those dam big patios. I see they are catering to the seniors, but the rent on those must be close to $2200/$2800 mth. They don't price them on the web site, so I assume it's one of those "if you need to ask, then you can't afford it".

There's a new "for lease" sign in front of 567 Coverdale toad indicating its under new management.

This place has had vacancies for as long as I can remember. It really needs some TLC but it's a good location and has a decent amount of parking.

It was purchased April 15th for $1.475 million. Coverdale Square absolutely could use some TLC, but what it also needs is a re-branding. So many businesses have opened in this location only to die, and that creates a reputation.

One thing that could be improved is the entrance as it's very easy to miss. The sign is actually about 200 feet up the road! I really hope the new owners are successful with their plans.
