MainStreet Apartment Tower

Does anyone on this thread know the status of the Main Street Apartment Tower?

Last I heard the funding for the tower had been stopped.
Has this project been cancelled or just delayed?

Meman, I don't know the exacts on that but I was just noticing something the other day while catching up with the great photo updates that Paniolo Man recently submitted. Comparing the construction updates with the BuildingSaltLake or Blah_Amazing Notices, it would seem like from the proposal or even groundbreaking it is often taking two or more years for actual construction to appear. I have no doubt that many of these projects, particularly the ones over 2 or 3 hundred feet that we are anxiously awaiting visible construction will eventually begin. Example, I would say not to expect the Hines Theater Tower to begin construction for two years after what was the completion of its recent site demolition. If it happens sooner great, just not assuming it will.

I'm just happy there are so many projects in the pipeline to keep us at least a little satiated.

I agree. I just find it funny how much toxicity is spewed toward California by Utahns and then the second anyone is critical of the state, they lose their mind lol

Anyway, here's a preview of SLC in The Last of Us:

Ahhh... yes... the eastbound North Temple Freeway at the westbound U-turn junction off-ramp to Reno.

I get mildly annoyed when people conflate Salt Lake City and Utah. None of those billboards feature the city at all.

I think that's my issue with it. I think it would actually be a pretty good advertising campaign if it highlighted interesting things to do that are actually in the city, but as it is, it's advertising Utah, not Salt Lake City.

It's a post-apocalyptic TV show. I wouldn't look that much into it lol

Speaking of the show, I took these screenshots of The Last of Us Part 1 (The remake of the original game) of SLC when I played the game:

I got a raise. But I was hoping it would have been higher. Still, at least it's something.

This photo will look great in a few years with Worthington done and the Kensington property tower under construction... Hopefully KIC builds us another tallest tower on this site

Great pics, everyone.

Dakben, do you think you could post an Astra screen capture from the KUTV camera when you get a chance?
