Heres another Fourth Ward proposal for 340 apartments but I don't know the exact location.

I can't think of that many empty spaces big enough to accomodate that. Maybe along Jackson between John Wesley Dobbs and Auburn, maybe along Edgewood by the BeltLine. Fort Street? This thing looks enormous. Of course with the big new apartment project in Reynoldstown, they bought a bunch of single family and consolidated them, but I can't quite picture where that would happen in O4W.

Does anyone have any insight into the progress of the retail/housing wrapped deck that is going behind/around Soundtable along Boulevard? It was my understanding that the church was eager to move to build the parking, and that the neighborhood required that the deck be completely hidden . . .

I'm pretty sure that's an old plan for a site south of Edgewood Ave that HJ Russell rezoned several a years ago.

You are correct. I know its an old proposal but I am assuming its still planned because of the updated rendering and stats. It was originally going to be 220 condos but the info on this rendering is for 340 apartments.

All I know is that it doesn't look very pedestrian friendly...hopefully the building actually addresses the street.

Judging by the street lamps in the elevation it looks like this will be about the same height as MODA and the office building to the south, so it should fit in nicely.

They have been doing work on one of the retail spaces on the back side of the High, directly across from the MARTA station. I finally got around to seeing what they were doing, and it is the sales center for One Museum Place. It looks like it is just about to open. It seems like a strange spot, but it is the closest retail space to the project.

Combined with the residential transition of the building next door, this plan could provide some life to that corner of downtown. That being said... it might take a lot of work to make that building look appealing as a hotel.

No joke - I have seen prisons more inviting than that hell hole of a building. Do people really work in there?

I wouldn't call it hell hole. It's not that bad of a building. The architecture shows the time of which it was built.

I've been inside it when one of my clients was looking at it for a residential conversion. It's rather posh inside, in a 1980s "Dynasty" sort of way. The outside is hideous, though.

The CCHR is pereparing for opening. I personally never really cared for the rendering but I think it looks nice.

I am a huge fan of the Viewpoint retail renovation. Its just a little sad however that this had to be done for a six year old building.

Wow, I just walked by there a couple weeks ago and it was a complete mess. I wondered if they were going to make the June opening. They sure cleaned that up fast.

The water feature is HUGE! I was really sad when the original design didnt get built.. and while I still think it would have looked a billion times better with the original design it's still a very nice impressive building.

If you mean the outer wings, those are coming. This is only the first phase.

they had to change the design because they came up short in funding. if there's going to be something added to it, we haven't seen renderings of it yet (or at least i haven't.).
