I had important office work to do today, which always means SSP open in one of the browser windows, unfortunately for my productivity.

I'm all for cutting slack to people who have certain personal challenges (for example, I've always been kinder than most forumers to LakeLocker, who is autistic). But there are limits to this. If LakeLocker calls me an idiot, or insists that 2+2=5, I reserve the right to do something other than "just immediately give up and agree with him in order to not upset him, poor little thing".
When you enter the playground that is this forum, you have to expect a certain amount of reaction to your posts. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
