Boy, I suppose the cost of each unit is justified seeing how much work actually goes into creating this masterpiece.

Whenever I see things that are customized, I see potential future problems.

That is true, especially if they are not built to the highest of standards. Imagine if one of these windows/frames or panels get damaged due to an accident or vandalism.

Lighting 3:17 Thunder 3:23 and Driving Rain will not discourage these workers.

Thanks!
That's pretty much the only places with a wide expanse of floor to ceiling glass in the tower.

Pic by me Sept 5th:

It would have also looked good if the top were just glass.

They could just use Shadow box spandrel panels, or standard back-painted spandrel glass or glazed-in metal panels.

All opaque, but treated and constructed to look like glass or glazing indistinguishable from the transparent vision glass panels.

They'd be kinda pricey, but this is a high-end building and I'm sure if it was the look they were going for, cost wouldn't be an issue.

Dark tinted glass.
The mechanical units seem to be boxed in anyways.

That curved glass looks lovely and all, but judging by how tightly-fitted those panels are...I see future expansion and contraction and solar heating and winter cooling leading to too much tension in the glass. There's gonna be fractured panes at some point.

Glazing Sep 07 to 11, 2023

Today, making quick work of these pre-cast panels.
I see a temporary canvas roof over the Hvac room, I don't think the units have been delivered yet.

I guess they gave up on trying to keep those panels clean.

They gave up on the windows also.

Wouldn't be easier to clean that window before installing it.
Its going to be challenging for the window cleaning guy not to let large flakes of debris from falling and fluttering a block away

Today. From my camera on all day.
( officedweller, you should have told me you were going to visit The Stack today, I would have had my camera focused on it and captured you on the observation deck )

Nice juxtaposition with Burrard Tower and Vancouver House towering above the rest (....and arguably also, a cut above the rest).

The lower photo is also a nice "progression" shot of architecture of different decades and eras, going from the past with the shortest tower in the foreground as you proceed into the present/future with Butterfly in the brackground.
( I think someone else once pointed out that visual connotation)
