My bad, y'all. I get lazy sometimes. Let me know how to source language and I will edit.

If you actually thought Tom Stacy's building was actually going to get built - then none of us can really help you. Those of us who were active on this board (back then) knew there was a high probability that Tom's vision was never going to see the light of day. It was a money grab move - increase the value of his asset and sell it.

We also knew Sutton & Co. was never going to produce their grand Waller Park Place vision.

Nevertheless, I have far more confidence in Lincoln getting a development of this size done than I ever did for Tom Stacy. And, this confidence comes from working with both groups.

Noticed something unusual with the 6 X webcam this morning... It was focused on the 3rd St parking lot (future site of the Republic). I check the 6 X webcam daily and I've never seen this before.
Note that both 6 X and Republic are part of LPC's portfolio.
Anywho, just thought I'd share

It's back to showing 6XG. However pointed towards the sky. Maybe they need to reposition the camera for the top 1/3rd of the building and just took the opportunity to test the vantage point for placement of the Republic camera.

Had a chat with the operation manager of the Farmers Market. She mentioned this is indeed moving forward and is pleased that the Market can remain during construction.

So the Farmer's market takes place in the parking lot, not Republic Square?

It’s not held on RS. It’s on the sidewalk adjacent and on 4th street.

From what I've seen over the past year+ commuting past the farmers market, it was originally in the parking lot while 4th St was open, and they've recently (within the past few months) gotten the city to allow them to shut down 4th St and they hold it on the street itself as well as the sidewalks of the park.

It's been on 4th for quite some time. Plus on the southern edge of the park and the walkway in front of the courthouse.
Ya'll should come downtown more.!

Here's another street closure for construction permit which was filed today. This one is for San Antonio St. only, and it begins 05/30. The first right of way closure permit is still set to begin on 04/18.

The R.O.W. permit with a start date of 4/18 is active as of 3/31. Harvey-Cleary Builders paid close to $30k in fees according to the city's permit page. I assume they wouldn't make this payment if a start wasn't imminent?

I agree. The 98RR project start has slipped from 04/04 to 05/14. This one hasn't budged from 04/18. But that damn parking lot was still accepting payment for monthly parking as of yesterday.

I would too. One could always provide the customer with a refund (full or prorated).

I would imagine that whoever owns the Republic parking lot probably owns other parking lots and could credit those customers at another site. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.
