Not wanting to get vaccinated does not mean you are self-absorbed and feel privileged, that is a very broad and harsh opinion to make of the players.

They complied with the rules, they got tested, they tested positive, they no longer entered the facilities. That is an acceptable social endeavour and they complied.

People not getting vaccinated are taking a risk they have the right to choose. Just like us who have been vaccinated, and took the risk of injecting a rushed vaccine with minimal test trials and a lot of unknowns.
Talk about a broad opinion of why people don’t get vaccinated. If you eliminated all of those self absorbed individuals the anti maskers anti vaccines people from the equation we would be left with herd immunity and would therefore protect the most vulnerable in our society. We would alleviate the crushing burden on our health care system and bring our economy back to equilibrium. But no the self absorbed selfish people are either unwilling or unable to see more than two inches in front of their nose.

Here is a perfect illustration of the myopic entitlement we are witnessing. This guy resents having to prove he is vaccinated or he has a negative Covid test but somehow having Oilers memorabilia makes him righteous.

I am vaccinated, but mandated vaccines?? Are you kidding me??? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own rights especially when it comes to choosing what to put into your own body.

Proof of a negative covid test is fine and makes total sense. That is what the players had to do and unfortunately they tested positive. They will get better and it will all be back to normal in no time, end of story.

On the basis of the players being role models, sure it is unacceptable to publicly speak out against vaccines but the right to actually get it or not should not be a concern.
Covid has proven capable of bringing national healthcare systems to their knees worldwide. Think of all the non-covid patients that can't get care due to over crowded hospitals. We need to make Covid vaccines MANDATORY unless they have specific health problems preventing them from taking it. It is becoming a choice of getting vaccines for everybody, or doing it the the way China does it by having big brother keep an eye on you at all times.

I chose to take the vaccine to protect MY FREEDOM.

Basically, it was decided long ago that Covid-19 was an emergency where it had been shown that the only way to get it under control was to get everyone vaccinated. Having the vaccines mandated is the eventual outcome in trying to get the thing under control, instead of trying to rely on individual choice, which would be saying that it is not an emergency.

Looks like Elks remaining at 14 Covid Cases today which is about 20% of the players.

Also noted was that about 80% of the players are fully vaccinated and 20% partially or not vaccinated.

Coincidence?

sooo... the ee say that "As we continue to navigate the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19, the Elks believe this policy is essential to delivering a safe environment for our fans and staff, as we continue to play an important role in our bringing our community together."

given that this policy won't be implemented for either the september 11 or september 18 home games, does this not mean those games will be played in an unsafe environment for fans and staff?

Jager + rye + pine extract is this something you mix and bring in a flask?

What do you mean significant or more significant than what happens at Commonwealth ... did they hold it at McMahon or offsite with easy LRT access to the stadium?

They have always had tailgating in the parking lot right beside McMahon. It's the only thing about the Stumpeaters that they do better than us

I also added Wild (prairie) Rose bitters and it tasted quite good.

Mixed in a 2L and shared at the tailgate.

They have 3 spots E/S/W lots and it was more reminiscent of an NFL game.

One or two more ingredients and you'll have a Flaming Homer on your hands.

Approximately the 11m mark for anyone interested, and shockingly includes an Edmonton image. (how's that for a click-bait teaser?)
