I gotta go on holidays more often, didn't think this one would come up so fast! like the idea, just would prefer more angles and height, excited to see this one refined.

The good new is Calgary can gobble office space faster than anyone when things are booming. The bad news is things are so bad it will even take Calgary at least 3 years to recover at record absorption levels.

Ok I have some question about this building I'm hoping somebody can answer

1. if it does get built where will it go up?
2. what are the chances of it going up?
3. is it going to go through a redesign and get built or just get cancelled altogether?
4. (and this is kind of a long shot) but if it does go through a redesign what are the odds of it being taller?

This one is a long shot at bet, especially with the vacancy rate in the 20% range, and a couple more office towers U/C. Something may come along again in 5 or 6 years, but I think it will take quite a while to fill all the space vacated during this downturn.

I think the site is the one just north of the courthouse park, the site where the wildhorse saloon goes each year.

I think this is one of those towers that has a strong backer, so will eventually get build...but will most likely look nothing what we see here. Good thing too, because what we see here is boring as balls.

Wonder how long Oxford wants to sit on top of a $60M piece of land they bought while construction and labour is cheap

You can't be serious if you're suggesting what I think you're suggesting. They will sit for 30 years if need be. They certainly won't spend a dime on a fool's errand.

It looks like someone recycled one of the original Penny Lane designs.

Better to sit on a $60 million piece of land than a $600 million tower (minimum) that's mostly empty.
