This is rising incredibly fast. Perhaps the fastest project in San Francisco. The core was just poking out of the ground at Christmas. Good news for SF but bad news for me since its going to block some of my view of the Bay Bridge.

This may sound weird but I use the progress of these towers as measurements of my life. I look back at the construction of ORH1 and what my life was like then, and what it is now, and how it will be when 2 is finished. Since they go up so slow and are monumental they are really time capsules in the making,

Im going to agree, they are building a new floor every 3 days. I dont really know whats involved with that but i cant imagine construction going any faster. Does anyone know what the fastest buildings go up in?

There is a project down the street that started before it and is not half the size. Go phase 2!

So... Any comments on the advertising? Im wondering if they will reserve a spot for budweiser or tmobile? In a few months (maybe weeks) that may be the most valuable billboard in the city.

It's definitely going to be high visibility, but I'd imagine they'll keep it as strictly an ad for the residences. Sticking a beer ad next to your leasing sign doesn't necessarily scream, "We have the financial security to keep high-end clients like yourselves happy."

This is a bizarro worksite. Its somehow growing like a weed, yet when I was down there today the work site was eerily quiet and humble. This must be Webcor's A-team at work. I hope its this crew that is going to work on the transit center after ORH is done.

I now have a view of the yellow construction crane for Rincon II - it is left of Rincon II for those of you who may be new to the Skyscraper. Apparently I will not lose that small view of the San Francisco Bay between the two buildings. The view is from my apartment in the Civic Center in the Essex Fox Plaza. The structure in the foreground is the "decorative roof" of the Federal Building at 7th St. & Mission St.
