i actually like that pics are hosted on third party sites.
That allows you to quote a post over to another Board.
SkyRise Cities hosts its own pics so none of those can be posted over to SSP.

While that process may be a pain for users, it could be an advantage for the forum operators as it keeps the database/disk space required to a minimum.

And if there are any complaints about a posted photo (copyright, etc.) then the operators can probably simply say they aren't hosting the photo, go talk to the host.

Imgur is really easy to use - just drag your *properly sized* photo to upload and then click on the Share Links and it even has the coding already inserted.

I miss the resizing option in the imgur site though, manually resizing the image before uploading is definitely a step down in user experience.

Ya, that's a pain, seems like something they could easily have/have again.

I like the ability to easily add text and shapes (arrows, etc). And it's free.

They have an Amazon logo in the SW corner lobby so I guess they are somewhat close to opening?

Daily Hive is reporting that the first Amazon workers have moved it. They also took some photos of the south tower interior.

Hmmm - the workstations look okay.

The common areas look like a bunch of disparate elements they salvaged from the 60s or 70s.
The elevator lobby looks like a cringe-worthy Vegas hotel - like Circus Circus or The Riviera.

The ceiling panels in the elevator lobby may have been salvaged from a SkyTrain station.

That's funny, I thought the exact opposite. I thought the common areas atleast had some sense of style, even though it does look a little gimicky. But those work stations are down right depressing. Nothing on the ceiling, no real colour, looks like a class B or C office standard.

Their Seattle HQ looks like a dump so I guess they don't really care about what they look like.

well why spend money on their employees? they have people, and dont need to give them enjoyable work environments. all these large organizations dont really care about customers or employees.

This carpet is the only thing I like about the interiors - textured but not tacky/distracting

Has there been anything about who / what is going on with the food hall? There seems to be nothing going on with this outside of announcing deville and fogo de chao a few months ago.

They're still going through their restructuring proceedings. Seems like they aren't doing anything on the project.

With a 500k operating line extended to keep the JR business going it seems i would assume its unlikely they will have any new projects unless they start closing / selling off various properties. I also can't imagine the developer would let them run a food hall with no stake in it.

Sad this project seems DOA as of now.

Yeah I just found the reference in the first monitor report:
