Nice. It's louder than the traffic noise.

Not sure if we've had this angle before, from a fitting room in the Bay suit department.

I see Deville has been announced as a tennant, but still no details on the "food hall" it seems...

Joseph Richard Group. Surrey. 2021 announcement.

"It will feature a mix of full-service, sit-down, table-service and quick-service restaurants, as well as a unique retail-market experience.

“I think our commitment to this project, especially at this time, should speak to our confidence that this sector will rebound, as will Vancouver’s downtown core,” says Ryan Moreno, CEO and co-founder of The Joseph Richard Group. “As with any of our venues, guests can expect a unique experience — one that includes top-quality offerings, notable chefs and kind-hearted service.”

Featured concepts will include Mexican, Asian and Italian fare; a wood fire grill; Belgian waffles; a bakery/deli; a microbrewery, bar and lounge; rotating chefs through a food incubator; and more. The food hall joins The Post’s overall offering, which already includes, Deville Coffee, Buro The Espresso Bar, Loblaws City Market"

Buro seem to be out of business, so that bit is out of date.

Buro is probably not going in considering they dumped a bunch of their other DT locations.

Strangely there is nothing on the Joseph Richard Group hiring page for it nor was there any mention of The Post that I could find.

Seems more likely they'll open up early 2024. You assume there's zero chance they'll open before the Amazon offices open.

Never did think much of this choice to operate the food services in such a high profile location.

Ron.

Going to be quite scramble to get the Post's food service up and running!

Presumably they're hoping to get the sort of arrangement Donnelly Group announced earlier this week.

Good luck finding any contractors/suppliers wanting to do any work on the food hall.

Here's the bankruptcy filings

https://documentcentre.ey.com/#/detail-engmt?eid=536

I don't see a lot of contractors on the creditors list so you wonder if they have even started any work on the food hall at this point.

The First Bourque Affidavit further describes a number of Petitioners that are:
a) “Future Hospitality Entities” that include:

restaurant proposed for the Rooster Building (as described above); and

ii. JRG Foodhall (Vancouver) Ventures Ltd. (“Foodhall”) which is developing
a food hall under a lease with QuadReal Property Group that comprises
approximately 26,000 sq. ft. in the redevelopment of the historic Canada

'The Post' sign on Dunsmuir is in the centre of the facade.

You can't post photos directly to this site, you need a host. This site is ancient.
