My god what a video

I will be living in the Milan at Church and Yonge ...18th floor over looking the ravine and Rosedale! Building in the foreground next to the subway line.

A month away and I can't wait!

Very nice! Those look right out of Toronto. Whereas the glass gets lost there it will jump out in Montreal and add some diversity to the skyline. Residential or hotel? Normally I'd assume condos but I thought I remembered reading something about a hotel once.

^The CAA building and its adjacent parkinglot need to go. And not with a shitty 12-storey lowrise like the proposal we saw like 2-3 years ago, but with something in the 100m range.

I thought this was interesting. This is Halifax's skyline viewed from around 10 km away, taken from the open ocean somewhere south of Eastern Passage. This shot was done with a telephoto lens.

That last Toronto drone shot before the cut features one of the best historic commercial blocks in the city IMO - at Queen and Palmerston (north side). The shitty building on the south side is hidden too.

Also Montreal lookin' good!

I'm very happy about the systematic use of quality curtain wall for these buildings. Even the Holiday Inn has nice cladding. It makes the ensemble on new buildings looks very nice. Icon 2 and Rocabella 2 will be of the same quality too.

It's great how well Roccabella turned out, but I wish there was no twin tower planned. It will look very generic. A second tower with a different shape would of been great.

I suspect that the two together will be more impressive than each one separately (these towers were designed to be twins), but we'll see soon enough.

A rare angle of Calgary's west end. The new tower in the middle is Vogue. From the renderings I hated it but it's turning out better than I had expected. Still not great but the crown is interesting and adds some diversity.

Vogue totally looks fine. I love the crown. What's really ugly though are those 90's suburban twin towers on the left.

Those are called 5 West and are by the same developer (Lacaille group) and are on my list of most hated towers in Calgary. They have a horrible track record. Those aren't even from the 90's but from '06 and '08. This is the rendering of Vogue which is why my expectations were so low.

Thankfully the uglier side faces inward so you can't see it in skyline shots. I haven't seen how that side looks yet but my hopes aren't high.

Edit: this model might give a better indication of how it will look.

You should see a close up of Vogue. Some really bad choices made in the colours, styles and, details. Spandrel glass fake windows doesn't help either.
