The sale to Pinnacle was in November last year, several months after Concord's claim. At that point Concord were still pursuing their claim, but it doesn't appear that stopped Pinnacle from agreeing to purchase the site.

Well it was still active last November, nothing new that I've seen on it.

We’ll all be waiting to see what happens next. It was hard to get a lot of information from the city or councillors on this, since this had been discussed in camera, but it sounds like Pinnacle may have the option to back out of the sale at some future point. (That was my interpretation, anyway, of somewhat guarded remarks.)

Looks like they have started foundation and underground parkade excavation at the third site (eastern most triangular lot) for the second office/retail block: third building of this project.

With the gradual taper, the floorplate won't be squaring out for a while.
I had to go back and check the renderings, and, yeah, there aren't many floors with a full rectangular floorplate.

Okay, I don't need to go to the site now to take pics of the progress. Rebar is now visible from my living room window near Robson and Homer. In the first pic you can see one of the cranes in the slot just to the left of centre.

I took a walk on the east side of Burrard Bridge yesterday to see what I could see. Vancouver House is somewhat obscured, at least from the north part of the bridge. I didn't venture to the far south end to try to see Vancouver House.

Vancouver House is roughly the same height as the Wall Centre, so according to your photo, it should roughly top out at where the cranes highest point is right now.

Modello certainly blocks the middle section of the skyline line and it is just to the right of the photo. I suspect that Gold House and especially Sun Tower will block it entirely this time next year.

I should try to find a way on the roof top which is still some 10 meters higher up and could offer an open view to capture the entire skyline panorama.

Get friendly with your building manager. If he's not keen with letting you on the roof; ask him if he can take some pics with your camera.
