Really cool! One thing I wish they had done differently is have the balcony door frames match the glass colour, instead of white

Where was the second tower for Vancouver House supposed to go? The other side of the bridge?

There isn't any second tower proposal for the Vancouver House. The other two triangular lots are just short buildings for office and retail use.

If you are referring to the remaining triangular lot on the other side of Granville bridge, I believe that belongs to the City and was originally destined for subsidized housing. The City was considering selling it but faced huge opposition. Personally, I think the City should sell it if they are too poor to build anything there. This way, hopefully another mixed-use project can be completed to complement the Vancouver House.

Overall, I'm excited about this neighbourhood when the project is completed. This mixed use development consisting of retain, office and residential spaces will definitely make this neighbourhood more alive. Residents around Granville bridge (Downtown South) will also enjoy the convenience of finally having stores at their doorsteps. Still wondering which market would be occupying the space at the podium of the tower.

Well during the Westbank audio tour Gillespie talks about an idea at some point for a second tower to twin Vancouver House in some way.

Er no. Concord sold the land to the City - they didn't donate it.

Did they receive fair market value or was less than what Concord paid for it in the first place?

The document you linked to says that Concord claim they sold half of the site to the City in 1999 at a price less than they paid, and lower than market value. That was their position: do you know if the City countered that claim, or whether the case has proceeded?

The sale to Pinnacle was in November last year, several months after Concord's claim. At that point Concord were still pursuing their claim, but it doesn't appear that stopped Pinnacle from agreeing to purchase the site.
