It's great that they restored the old building, and if the old sign works, by all means keep/refurbish it... but why build a new
old sign to replace it? What's wrong with a modern sign on an old building? Vancouver doesn't have much by way of heritage, but I rather let the museums deal with reconstruction of artifacts.
fyi, you have to be more than just 65+ to be an old timer... you gotta have lived in this city for a generation or more to be able to say stuff like "the 80's were better".
