Originally had heard 12/1 from someone at s'bucks, they are now saying 12/16 due to permitting.

On a related note - does anyone know what is going into the corner retail space in Viewpoint (former Sprint space)?

I went by the doctor's office recently and noticed this one under way off Howell Mill.

Aren't these the same folks who announced a tower in Buckhead the other day?

The new restaurant going into Viewpoint is Bantu - http://www.bantunoodles.com/

It's obviously several months out.

According to a report in the Buckhead View blog, " Developer Terwilliger Pappas presented plans Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 3) to the Development Review Committee for SPI-9 (Special Public Interest district) for a high-rise residential tower of some 300 apartments that would replace the iconic Grand China Chinese restaurant and Buckhead Exxon service station on Peachtree Road in Buckhead. The tower, which could reach 20 stories and would include 300 residential apartment units, 470 parking spaces and 4,700 square feet of retail space, replacing the gas station and restaurant at 2965 and 2975 Peachtree Road. The architect is Cooper Carry.

Little update from the past week. Taken by me.

Inman Quarter on Sunday:

Corner retail

Street level

Courtyard

Porsche HQ on Tuesday, as visible from the airport runway.

And 33 Peachtree Place and Centergy North this morning:

You can see what I assume are the lower parking deck walls at 33 Peachtree Place.

i've got a question: what the hell happened to the grocery store idea on the south side of viewpoint? it's like they've got cutouts in the wall along 6th street, but it's all barren and there's nothing going on. so is it going to be a grocery store or are they going to leave it as an empty lot bordered by a blank wall?

It is still showing as for lease. Doesn't look big enough for a grocer though.

Also Cooper Carry did 905 Juniper so that new buckhead tower should look nice

^^^ I really like how he incorporated the parking deck into the building. I've never seen anything like it. Should be interesting to see how the final project turns out.

I guess that means they resolved the property dispute..? That's good news. I was starting to think that project was dead.
