Another project with approval but hasn't stalled or been canceled is 395 3rd. I look forward to a few other quiet projects to bubble back up over the next year.

I saw Treasure Island a few days ago and it looks like the facade on the residential tower there is done. Also to be fair, Mission Rock is still under construction!

Yeah, SF has a lot of nice towers in the pipeline. They just need to get built :/

There's also 10 South Van Ness, at 55 floors and 610 ft.

I wonder if these existing high-rise proposals in downtown will get redesign to be taller with more units to take advantage of the new state laws AB2011 and density bonuses.

^Parcel F with 750 feet height zoning, and clear for a new proposal? I'm not sure what can be done with the foundations already in place for the original Oceanwide Center. Whatever is someday built should probably use the same architect. Any redesign, if any should probably also stay as close to original to be economical. The designs we see recently above should also remain as is, unless the project is cancelled before construction, or new economic and political needs outweigh the cost of redesign and review. Basically, time will tell...

^The thread for 45 - 53 Third Street is here:

https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=243652

It looks like from the post dates, we first knew about this in 2020. We haven't heard any news since February 2021 during the Pandemic.

1401 Folsom & 10th Street - SF YIMBY has renderings of a 9 story building. SF YIMBY says "The city’s Planning Department has proposed an interdepartmental meeting with the Department of Building Inspection, Public Works, and the Fire Department. The project will replace a surface parking lot with 94 new homes..."
The photo taken from my apartment shows, with the green lines (not to scale!) where the building will be located. Should there be a separate thread for this one now?
If built the future tenants need to know about the Folsom Street fair. Might be a good idea to to take a trip out of town for that annual event :------>))

According to an article in today’s Chronicle, demo for this project has begun (and has uncovered an early-20th century Chevrolet dealership mural: https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/artic...t-18535614.php)

Ah yeah, that's true. At least it's something. I guess we were really spoiled in the 2010s, even with the tease of Oceanwide

Just visited some family in San Francisco this past weekend. The city itself is an architectural wonder; but I was surprised at how quiet downtown was since my last visit in 2017. Beautiful city nonetheless.

That's mostly due to remote work, which has decreased pedestrian activity and commuting in and around the FiDi significantly. Unfortunately, the employment trends are not something I see changing dramatically anytime soon, so I expect SF to take some measures to try to re-design its downtown core. The adjacent mixed used neighborhoods are still quite busy/vibrant.
