Thanks for clearing that up. I feel sorry for the people that have lived there looking at past yelp reviews. Roaches everywhere and random pipe bursts. Yeeesh.

Ah the Lemon Terrace Club we lived there when I was in high school back around 1990. At the time that place was roach infested and hated how you get into the apartment. You have the main door your open and there are 2 side doors for each apartment. In the center of the complex is the pool and we'd just off the balcony into the pool. It seemed it was originally built as a hotel based on the layout.

I'm surprised there weren't only ASU students living there. You must have heard or even gone to a bunch of college parties in high school.

Is anyone going to the next DRC/ City Council meeting? It's going to be at the Omni. Supposedly there's going to be a presentation with a mock-up of all the proposed high rises in Tempe once built. The presentation in the agenda has a slide that says work in progress...

Looks like construction is now starting on the student housing portion of the site. I believe thats what this article is referencing?

I think it is going to be offices for the Herberger school. It says just west, which I think is a mistake, but this is what is on their site

Mr. RE is correct, that's the site location of the new Residence Hall. Regarding Herberger offices, west of the parking garage is accurate as there are offices/retail being built up to Mill Ave.

So ... for those of us still confused...

Mill Avenue | Herberger School | Garage | Student housing, from east to west?

I keep thinking academic buildings have a larger floorplate than they do, but this looks to be just as wide as Coor Hall nearby which makes sense for a double loaded structure.

I also thought ASU was building the garage right up to the street, but who knew, they actually are capable of putting up TOD next to a streetcar stop. Color me surprised.

Wow when was the last time asu built new dormitories in tempe? Had to have been Hassayampa and the honors college back in like 2007-2009

The engineering dorms a.k.a. Tooker House opened in 2017 where Palo Verde Main used to be.

ASU isn't building this, it's an American Campus Communities project, same with Tooker House.

I think before that the last actual ASU-owned dorms was that hideous frat house replacement.

Oh right, I guess I don't consider the replacement to be a truly new dorm.
