Financial hit for REAL if arena moved off site with new operator: Reid
"It really is critical to the financial sustainability of REAL."
A new arena would have a seating capacity of approximately 10,000. Last cost estimates put a new arena in the range of $100 million to $120 million, but Reid says that may be different now “with construction prices soaring the way that they are.”
There are five possible locations in the running to house a new Brandt Centre if a rebuild gets the green light: three in downtown Regina, the Yards, or in a different location on the REAL District campus. , don’t even build this if it’s only gonna be ten thousand Seats it’s a must that is gets done an absolute must

As much as I'd like to see REAL do well, if this happens I'd like to see this downtown. As we all know, it's easier to
keep people downtown than it is to get more people there. Aka, give people something to do that keeps people downtown for hours and not vacate asap. And I agree, this needs to be more than 10,000 seats. If you're going to do it, do it right. Minimum 12,500+
That said, I don't want any public money spent on this. At all.
