Jokes are usually funny, but my response was short of an "attack". What I mean is that the majority of units sold for this project from the beginning were from the sub constractors aka "trades" of the Icon project such as the forming, electrical, plumbing, trades etc. It's called buying into the project which is a common practice among condo/arena/stadium/ projects. The owner requires the contractors to purchase units, suites, season ticket packages and so on, prior to issuing their contracts.
If the Icon project had never had this as a requirement, the sales would have been even lower than they were prior to construction.
