Thanks guys! The camera froze after I took those 2 pics, so that's all I have to show for setting up the tripod. The battery was still ok though, it is usually the first thing to freeze.
Montreal was arguably ready for a 1000 footer in the 60's
Toronto has been ready for a 1000 footer since the 70's
and Calgary was ready for a 1000 footer at the start of the current boom.
But none of those cities ended up with one, nor are there even any plans for one in the future...

True enough . . . but It's not going to stop me from dreaming about it (in all cases).
I have to say that Shangra La really changes the dynamic of Vancouver's skyline. In a good way. I would have to say the most skyline altering building built in Canada in a long while. Great for Vancouver....Too bad about the Ritz though.
Grabbed a quick shot of downtown from the other side of False Creek. You'll have to excuse the poor quality but it was taken through the window of a U/C building so it was really dusty.
