You sure about that? I always thought Adex was a subsidiary of Pacific, which was just funded (owned) by Li Ka Shing but did not report to any other development firm?

Therefore I always put most of the blame of Cityplace looking like false Creek at the hands of the CP execs who found an easy repeatable way to make money and ran with it.

that's correct.

Concord Adex Developments Corp. is a member of Concord Pacific Group
Inc.,
a leading developer of urban, master planned residential neighbourhoods. The company, with headquarters in Vancouver, was founded in 1987 and builds complete communities that create long-term value for residents.

Haha well I appreciate the fact finding mission delerium, that report is pretty comically biased at the end.

"builds complete communities that create long-term value for residents."
that's a rather interesting way to write "is a residential developer involved in large scale projects."

I assumed it was a Canadian developer till I read the posts above. So, Concord Pacific isn't a subsidiary of a Chinese firm?

Keep on dreaming

Montreal was arguably ready for a 1000 footer in the 60's
Toronto has been ready for a 1000 footer since the 70's
and Calgary was ready for a 1000 footer at the start of the current boom.
But none of those cities ended up with one, nor are there even any plans for one in the future...

*sigh* dreaming is all we got

Well technically no, but it is funded by a HK based billionaire, so while it may not be a subsidiary of a Chinese firm it is definitely Chinese money.
