I remember Edmonton used to do a Back to School campaign after the Labour Day game. They always had 50K plus a the games
They ended up changing the back to school game to a game after the labor day game. Just one of the stupid changes the franchise made since Hugh left.

When it coincided with a Rider game, they did get 62,000+ though...

I wish the CFL could develop a video game, might help promotion to the younger audience.
I totally agree with getting kids in the stadium with free or significantly discounted tickets. I used to sit in the Safeway "Jr. QB" section at the north end of McMahon (yes I'm old, but not 54 yet). It was nothing more than a set of bleachers but it got me into the game and I loved it. And now I continue to attend games (with a paid ticket) and still love it.

They didn't want all those fans to witness another loss to the Stamps

I guess this should all be in the "CFL" thread - sorry for continuing to derail.

Come on - STADIUMS people!

Also on topic: one of the better CIS fields. UBC's Thunderbird Stadium:

That's the only grandstand... gives off a bit of a European vibe.

Calling a League that has refurbished or built %80 of It's stadiums, Added a team (with plans for another) And has more TV revenue than ever before a "dying league" is a pretty bold statement in my opinion. Not to mention You have a Network that is basically gonna be dedicated to the league mid June to the end of November. With hockey being Sportsnet territory, the CFL is gonna be TSN's bread and butter You cant tell me that wont help the situation.

I forgot how much I love TD place. 2-3 more seasons I bet they expand the end zones. Hopefully the same way they did THF. I love the party decks more than seating

Speaking of which does anyone have any concourse pics of the north side stands? Ive been really curious about how it looks. Do they share the concourse the arena?

Eskimos used to have the Woodward's Knothole Gang. $2 membership and $1 tickets for kids under 13.

Teams like the Lions, with excess seating capacity, should be sending a dozen tickets PER GAME to each and every community football team in Metro Vancouver. That gives 6 players and a parent a chance to go to each game. Depending on the number of players on a team, it's likely that each kid/parent would get to 2 games per year. They already do it for the preseason game, and they give tickets to the teams which participate in the halftime games during their annual "Salute to Community Football Night". But they should definitely expand the program.

Kids who play football + the parents that watch them are the exact target market for the CFL. They already send players to one community team's practice per year, plus they run the Punt Pass & Kick program, so why not take the extra step of sending tickets?

Awesome pic, that photographer has talent.

One thing about the Regina stadium that the pictures don't potray well is the shear size of this facility. Just think after looking at the pic above that over 60% of the seats in the stadium will be below grade (Angle of pic doesn't allow vantage point of the hole).

If any skyscraperpage members are passing through Regina be sure & check out the construction site, it's massive. Also check out my Twitter acct for regular updates as I pass by the site on almost a daily basis.
